Infant & Pregnancy Loss Remembrance Ceremony

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. Sioux Center Health invites you to join us for a time of remembrance and healing.

Our annual Remembrance Ceremony honors the precious lives lost too soon and offers support to the families who carry their memory.

This year’s event will include:
- A meaningful artwork installation by local artist Kaylee Maasdam, where families can add butterflies in memory of their babies. This piece will be displayed in the Sioux Center Health Town Center from October 1 until the night of the ceremony on October 19.
- A panel of parents and families who have experienced loss, sharing their stories and answering questions.
- A quiet time of prayer, special music, and reflection.
- A reading of the names written on the butterflies, as we stand together in love, remembrance, and solidarity.

Whether you’ve experienced loss yourself or want to support others who have, your presence matters. We welcome all who wish to honor these cherished lives and the families who love them.
