Blood bank – Identifies blood types (ABO and Rh) and performs tests to determine the compatibility of blood for transfusion
Hematology – Examines blood and body fluid specimens to determine the type and number of blood cells (RBC, WBC, and platelets); also determines the ability of blood to clot
Chemistry – Examines body fluid specimens for the body’s metabolic functions, disease markers, and drug monitoring.

Wellness Profiles
Wellness screenings give you access to affordable and confidential laboratory testing without a provider visit. All testing is done by our federally licensed, state-of-the-art laboratory. Whether you're monitoring ongoing health risks or looking for early signs of potential concerns, wellness screenings are a valuable tool for staying proactive. While these tests are not a replacement for regular provider visits, they can be an important part of your overall wellness journey. Walk-in appointments are welcome—just stop by hospital registration during lab hours.
Lab Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Saturday and Sunday by appointment.
Wellness Profile Breakdown
Profiles require a 12-hour fasting period prior. Drinking water is fine.
After blood is drawn take your medications.
Wear short sleeves.
Do not come if you are pregnant or for 6 months afterward.
No alcohol for 14 hours prior to the test.
All wellness screenings can be combined by your request.
Sioux Center Health offers inexpensive tests. The costs are kept low because you pay up-front and no insurance will be filed.
