MAKO: Personalized Robotic Support for Your Joint Surgery
Sioux Center Health has been equipped with MAKO, a cutting-edge robotic-assisted technology. It begins with a CT scan that creates a detailed 3D model of the joint, allowing the surgeon to develop a personalized surgical plan. During the procedure, the surgeon uses MAKO’s robotic arm to guide precise implant placement within defined boundaries, aided by AccuStop™ technology. While MAKO enhances accuracy and control, the surgery is always performed by an orthopedic surgeon, who remains fully in charge and can adjust the plan as needed in real time.
MAKO surgeries offered at Sioux Center Health:
- Total hip
