Seeing patients in Sioux Center
Valerie Van Zandbergen is a compassionate and dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner who brings both heart and experience to her work at Sioux Center Health. Originally from Kanawha, Iowa, Valerie’s journey into healthcare began as a CNA where she discovered her passion for caring for others and building meaningful relationships with patients.
She earned her undergraduate degree from Northwestern College in Orange City and later pursued her Master of Science through the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Clarkson College in Omaha. Since becoming a Nurse Practitioner in 2019, Valerie has been committed to delivering high-quality care with a personal touch. She joined Sioux Center Health in 2020 and has become a trusted part of the community ever since.
Valerie has a special interest in diabetes management and enjoys helping patients navigate everything from insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) to lifestyle changes. She is also skilled in women’s health and contraceptive management, with specialized training in the placement and removal of Nexplanon.
Whether she’s answering questions, offering guidance, or simply listening, Valerie’s patients know they can rely on her support every step of the way.
