Pap smear test every 3 years
Starting at age 21, it’s recommended to have a Pap test every three years. This simple screening checks for abnormal cells on the cervix that could develop into cervical cancer. At this age, HPV testing is generally not needed unless your Pap results are abnormal. If any abnormalities are found, we will provide closer follow-up and monitoring.
It's important to note that most HPV infections are harmless and clear up on their own. However, high-risk HPV types can lead to cervical cancer, anal cancer, or other health problems.
