Seeing patients in Hull and Sioux Center

Dr. Leightner is a dedicated Family Medicine Physician at Sioux Center Health, known for her compassionate, whole-person approach to care. She is deeply committed to a holistic philosophy that nurtures the whole patient — mind, body, and spirit. Her special interests lie in lifestyle medicine, emphasizing disease prevention and treatment through sustainable, non-pharmacological approaches whenever possible. She has a particular appreciation for women’s natural cycles, integrating this understanding into personalized care plans and fertility appreciation. Her goal is to empower patients to live their best lives by fostering health, balance, and well-being through comprehensive, compassionate care.

As a devoted OB provider, Dr. Leightner walks alongside women throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. She brings gentle, individualized care to every mother she serves, recognizing that each journey is unique.

She is also a certifief Creighton provider, offering natural and effective fertility care. She helps women and couples understand their reproductive health, navigate family planning or infertility with confidence, and feel supported through every step with respect for their bodies.

In addition to her medical practice, Dr. Leightner served in the Air National Guard for four years, following four years of service in the United States Air Force. During her time on active duty, she was stationed in Guam — an experience that broadened her perspective and strengthened her dedication to adaptable, mission-driven care in diverse settings.
