Stroke & Cardiovascular Screening
The screening provides the following tests for early detection:
• Carotid Ultrasound: This ultrasound examines the arteries in the neck for plaque buildup and areas of narrowing which may put you at risk for having a stroke.
• Abdominal Aorta Ultrasound: This ultrasound examines the main artery that courses through the abdomen. It is able to detect any plaque buildup as well as dilation (aneurysm) of the vessel.
• Ankle Brachial Index (ABI): This test is an assessment of the “hardening of the arteries” in the extremities. The technologist will place blood pressure cuffs around your arms and ankles to evaluate circulation in these small arteries

Results are interpreted by a board certified radiologist. Total screening time for each individual is about 30 minutes.
