Patient and Family-Centered Care

We want to make your experience at Sioux Center Health as enjoyable as possible. Whether you’re a patient or a visitor, information about our services, programs, staff, and facilities will help make your hospital visit more convenient, comfortable, and pleasant. If you cannot find what you are looking for within our website, please contact Sioux Center Health at (712) 722-1271 and a member of our team will be happy to assist you.

Visiting a Patient

Because families and caregivers play an important role in your health and recovery, encourage them to visit while you stay with us – they’re welcome anytime. Check with our staff for visitor options that best fit your recovery plan. The front main entrance is locked at 8:30 PM Monday – Thursday, 5:30 PM Friday, and 12:15 PM Saturday – Sunday; afterwards, admission can be gained through the Emergency Department entrance located on the north side of the hospital.

Internet Access

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout Sioux Center Health as “public.” This is a free service for patients and guests to enhance your stay. Additionally, computers are available for public use to access the internet in our family lounge and birthing center waiting areas.

Chapel

Our Chapel is located in the Town Center and is open 24-hours a day for those who need some quiet time for reflection or prayer. The chapel features a prayer wall to gather your hopes, fears, laments, and joy and an area that provides religious books and devotionals. The chapel is an interfaith space, open to diverse faiths and cultures.

Garden Café

The Garden Café is located on the garden (lower) level open to the public for families and visitors to enjoy a nourishing meal, healthy snack, or complimentary cup of coffee throughout the day. The Café offers a variety of freshly prepared food selections that will appeal to diverse tastes and dietary needs. It is open daily from 7 AM – 6:30 PM. Visitors may purchase food items with cash, credit, or debit cards. Visitors can also enjoy eating outside on our patio with the beautiful view of the healing garden.

Breakfast: 7 AM – 10 AM
Lunch: 11 AM – 1:30 PM
Dinner: 5 PM – 6:30 PM

* Grab and Go Items include: Sandwiches, beverages, snacks, fruit, desserts, and more.

Vending Machines

Vending machines are located near the ER entrance or next to the Garden Café that offers our visitors quick snacks and beverages options, 24-hours a day.

Gift Shop

The Gift Shop is a specialty boutique carrying a variety of unique merchandise ranging from greeting cards and children’s items to accessories, apparel, and home accents. All revenues from the Gift Shop are given to the Sioux Center Health Foundation to help purchase new equipment and supplies to improve services. The Gift Shop is open from 9 AM to 4 PM Monday – Thursday located in the Town Center.

Waiting Areas

There are specially designated waiting areas for visitors and families. They are located throughout the Town Center, Patient Care, and Birthing Center for your convenience.

Tobacco & Nicotine Free Facilities

For your health and well-being and for all our patients, tobacco use is not permitted anywhere on the Sioux Center Health campus – referring to all buildings, grounds, or parking lots.

Take a Walk

Our Healing Garden on the southwest side of the hospital grounds offers the beauty of nature with a wide variety of plants, a pond with a fountain, benches, and walking paths for exercise or stroll for reflection to enjoy the beautiful view!
